The Black response to education in Trinidad and Tobago

Children go to school and learn well
Otherwise later on in life you will ketch real hell
Don't allow idle companions to lead you astray

    There are many question that can be asked in terms of the Black response to Education:
    1. Is the little Black Boy in Gypsy's calypso the child who has failed to heed the warning of the mighty Sparrow?
    2. What factors stand or stood in the way of the black man?
    3. What can be done to change the response of the black man to education?
